Stacey Warne, Associate Pastor
I was born in Huron, South Dakota on May 2, 1964. My parents moved to Watertown, SD when I was two. Dad began a new job at a sign manufacturing company where he still works today. I was raised in an Assembly of God church and had the benefit of a strong and nurturing home environment that largely built the foundation for the direction of my life.
I became a Christian when I was about eight years old during summer camp. I responded to an altar call. I first felt the call into the ministry during a youth camp in the Black Hills of South Dakota when I was 19 years old. I knew in my heart that God was dealing with me to go where He wanted me to go.
I left home for college in 1983, a year after graduating from Watertown High School. I spent the next 4 years at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND; graduating with a BA in biblical studies and elementary education. My practicum for teaching and ministry were in Nyssa, OR. I served at Nyssa Assembly of God Church for two years where my father-in-law was pastoring. I did my educational practicum at Nyssa Elementary School. I attained my license to preach through the Oregon District of the Assemblies of God in 1989 and my Oregon teaching license in 1991. My wife, Judy, and I moved to Milton-Freewater, OR in 1989. I served as youth pastor at Valley Christian Center for eight years.
I've been married for 23 years and have four wonderful children, two girls and two boys. Jonay, Lance, Joy, and Landon. Girl, boy, girl, boy, two years a part, it couldn't have worked any better than that!
My wife's family heritage is also rich in faith and wholesome family values. We both have this great heritage to operate from and pass down to our children. Having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the single most important decision that one can ever make. He is my sustaining force, my stability, and meets my every need. I wouldn't want to live without Him. Life has been good because He has been there to make it good. I wouldn't want it any other way.
